In an external/internal trigger task, animals learn to pull a lever/do nothing in response to an external Go/No Go cue (external trigger) or pull a lever with no cue presentation (internal trigger)
In a GO/No Go task, animals learn to pull the lever (operandum) in response to an external Go cue in order to obtain a reward (spout) and to do nothing in response to an external No Go cue in order to obtain a reward.
