The HTEC-510 is user-friendly, provides worry-free maintenance, can be easily switched between methods, and most importantly has superb sensitivity.
Ultra-High Sensitivity Electrochemical Detection
The best advantage of using electrochemical (EC) detection is the sensitivity. Eicom will never compromise when improving the electrochemical detector’s sensitivity. The combination of the HTEC-510, HPLC-Electrochemical Detector, and the appropriate applications will easily ensure 160 amol sensitivity for dopamine and serotonin, and 5 fmol for acetylcholine.
The HTEC-510 is the optimized HPLC-ECD (Electrochemical Detection) system. Analytical applications of electrochemical detection have already been prepared, all you need to do is choose the appropriate method and follow the detailed protocol. Then you can easily get the results.
Easy to Maintain
The simple compact design of the HTEC-510 (HPLC-ECD) allows for easy maintenance. If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you every step of the way.
Superior Customer Support
We assign a trained application specialist to work directly with you from the beginning. This way we build an efficient working relationship and can help resolve any issues immediately.
The HTEC-510 replaces the HTEC-500
Eicom’s Innovative Cell Design
- Ultrasensitive, 30 fg of dopamine
- Graphite electrode often ready to use < 30 mins after start-up
- No tools to access the working electrode
- Easy to clean or change the working electrode
The key to the sensitivity is the cell design. Eicom relies on a spring-loaded mechanism that always maintains the proper pressure. This structure allows the detector to quickly stabilize after the cell is opened and closed. Another benefit is that the working electrode can easily be accessed without any tools. In this way, the electrode can easily be wiped clean and reinstalled to ensure maximum sensitivity.
Major Reasons of Ultra-High Sensitivity and Stability of Eicom’s ECD
- Innovative Design of Electrochemical Detector Cell
- System Design with Pulsation Free Pump
All-In-One With A Small Footprint
A common sentiment of our users the first time they see our system is, “Is this a complete HPLC-ECD system?
It is so compact!” The HTEC-510 users are always pleasantly surprised with the small footprint. The HTEC-510 includes:
- An online degasser (only 300 µl volume)
- HPLC pump (no pulsation damper)
- Manual injector
- Column temperature controller (both cooling and heating)
- Electrochemical detector cell
Within a single package the size of a typical desktop computer. The trimmed HPLC-ECD did not sacrifice anything in order to combine the latest technology into this concise unit which has enhanced stability. This system actually has higher sensitivity levels than the preceding models, as well as the compact design. Read on to learn the latest technological advancements within the compact design.
Anatomy of the HTEC-510
No Pulse Damper Required
Normal HPLC pumps are not ideal for electrochemical detection. The EC detector is sensitive enough to detect pulsation from the pump and therefore, a pulse damper is required to reduce this noise. However, the pulse damper itself can cause problems. It requires more than 10 ml to replace the inside volume. This volume can contribute to contamination following long periods of storage or shipping, and can be a serious problem for detection. The pulse damper needs to be filled completely with the mobile phase in order for the pressure to stabilize. It takes more than 5 minutes. If any old mobile phase remained in the system and entered the new column, the upcoming analysis could be ruined. The presence of the pulse damper in the HPLC system was not ideal. So we removed the damper from the system and adopted a 4 µl replacement volume pump. This small binary pump has a computerized pulsation quenching technology. Once you start the pump, the pressure becomes stable in several seconds and the piston-stroke speed changes during each stroke in order to quench pulsation. You can see the spindle-shaped baseline noise will converge to a thin flat line within one minute. The dead volume between the piston and the column is less than 1 ml, making cleaning the line quick and easy.
Directly Attain the Results
We understand you are looking for the best system by investigating a few key aspects of the systems, but is that all you need? You need the RESULTS obtained by the system. Eicom offers a turn-key solution and you can depend on us to get you the data. By telling us the target compounds and type of samples, Eicom will provide dependable application solutions including detailed application manuals, specially designed columns for the ECD, and technical support. You do not need to take time creating analytical methods or washing the column for a few days prior to kick off a new project. As long as you use Eicom’s HPLC-ECD and our analytical applications, the data will be easily generated. If you’ve never used an ECD or HPLC, starting with the most user-friendly machine is the best way to efficiently achieve your goals.
